The explotation of natural resources has affected the ecosystem. The flood which occured around the forest land conservation can be concluded as a effect of the forest exploitation. The forest exploitation increase because the forest management did not take the preservation area into account. One of the current critical issue is the global warming which also caused by the rising amount of CO2 in the air, on the other hand, the absorbing of CO2 by the forest is decreased.
According to the issue, the Humanosphere (the environment around the human-being domicile) management is becoming crucial. To respond the issue, Research and Development Unit for Biomaterials-LIPI, supported by Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere (RISH), and Center for South East Asian Studies (CSEAS) Global Center of Excellence (G-COE) Program of Kyoto University are invite all researchers, lecturers, practician and student to attend the Humanosphere Science School 2009 (HSS 2009).
The organizing of this Science School is the fourth times, since 2006, 2007, and 2008. The participants background is varying; researchers and lecturers are coming from universities, research and development units, and also from private sectors. The lecturers are the senior researchers in Japan and Indonesia. This intellectual event is an innovative endeavor where presenters and participants can share their knowledge about latest issues closely related to the new paradigm. Humanosphere Science School will explore the development of humanosphere index, study of air pollution, the development of wood-based composite, wood-based materials, and wood adhesive. The Humanosphere Science School will then simultaneously emphasizes the concept of atmospheric science and area of study which is becoming the part of humanosphere science
